What is
What is Parent-Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT)
As a proven effective, evidence-based practice, PCIT works with parents and children together to improve the quality of the parent-child relationship and to teach parents the skills necessary to manage their child’s behavior problems.
How does PCIT work?
There are two parts to PCIT.
-
Relationship Enhancement - in this part, therapists coach parents to increase positive and supportive communication with their child.
