Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Sioux City will offer a Suicide Support Group series this spring at the Algona location, with the first of six meetings to be held on April 21.

The group is open to anyone over 18 who has lost a family member or friend to suicide 30 days ago or longer. Algona Clinical Supervisor and Therapist, Julianne Klesel, LISW, encourages loved ones struggling from such a loss to join. “More people than ever have lost someone close to them by suicide. Through this group, we will provide hope and support for moving forward in your journey through grief and loss.” Clinical Supervisor and Therapist in the Fort Dodge office, Darla McEnroe, LMHC, will also help facilitate.

There is no cost to join. Meetings will be held on 6 consecutive Thursdays, April 21 – May 26, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at the Algona location in the Court House Annex on 109 W State St.

The group will provide a caring, comfortable and confidential setting in which you can listen, share and connect with others to build an on-going support system.
